- In December of 2008, we were called by our Stake President to be co-directors of the "ARISE-2010 Youth Spectacular." Through the years we have had a great love for the youth and the many opportunities we have had to see their talents grow through music and drama. This past year has been an awesome journey. Our twenty minute segment is divided into four parts, "The Pioneer," "The 20's," "The 50's" and "The Hip Hop" groups. There are 9 stakes under our guidance. We are under the direction of President Dee Schumers. This production is under the leadership of Elder Don Keyes, Elder Carl Cook and Brother Jerry Nelson. President Monson felt he would like to see the youth entertaining the adults this year. It has been said that this production will be the largest one of it's kind that the church does in the United States during 2010. This production has certainly been under the direction of the Lord. It will carve it's place in the hearts of all who participate.
